Meet the Latest Addition to the Apartment

Introducing ROSIE!!!

Isn't she just precious?! She is only 5 weeks old, so you can imagine what a tiny thing she is! Her owner, a.k.a. my roommate, a.k.a. Miss Sass (name changed for privacy purposes... sort of), got her off Craigslist for free (Nice to know I'm not the only one who always falls for this! "I don't even want this super ugly... whatever this thing is, but it was free!")
Proud new Mama!
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU "HARMLESSLY" PERUSE THE PETS SECTION ON CRAIGSLIST EVERYDAY. You will eventually get a cat, even if you don't think so. You have been warned.

But now, I wouldn't trade Rosie for anything in the world just because she is
soooooooooo
darn
cute!

She has ingratiated herself to me, and that's quite an accomplishment considering how
A) I'm a dog person- thank goodness Miss Sass and I both agree that even though we prefer dogs, NO DOGS.
B) I was talking to some people in my department who own cats, and telling them how I do not plan to have a pet anytime soon. *urgh! the horrible taste of eating one's words*
C) I did NOT know about Rosie till this very morning. My roommate had knocked on my bedroom door and hollered, "Miss Keesh, can you come here? I want to show you something..." You can imagine my shock when the something turned out to be Rosie!

Now, a little about Rosie: When Rosie first arrived, she was scared TO DEATH of me and any sudden noises. Within 12 hours however, she was running around exploring the apartment, eating, sleeping and playing with her new owner, and still scared of me. We are working on that.

And one more thing:

I'm starting to notice a trend here when it comes to my roommates. Throughout BYU and, now at Columbus, whenever people start living with me, they either
A) start dating someone
B) get a cat, or
C) both.

*strange* What is it about me? Hmm...

Anyway, so if you ever want to
A) start dating someone
B) get a cat, or
C) both
come talk to me, and maybe we can be roommates next year.

Accepting female applications only though :)

  2. Hi Jen! You can totally read my blog! and guess what- you have the honor of being my first "commenter." HOORAY! And I think 1 cat in the apartment is enough... wouldn't want to risk Rosie fighting with another cat :)
